Aged Da Hong Pao (1995)
陈年大红袍
In the summer when I was visiting home my mom pulled out a bag of tea and set it down on the table. "This tea was 13 years old when I started my shop, do you want it?" - "I'll take some" - "Some?? There is only this much left, you will take it all!".
This is a mixed Da Hong Pao produced from high mountain material in spring 1995. The tea was last roast in 2016. This is a full roast tea, obvious from the plum fragrance and slight smoke.
Dry leaf: intense dried plum.
Soup: aged tea, slight sour. Mouthwatering, thick, powerful energy. The empty cup will produce a beautiful fragrance, making clear the tea's original fragrance under the layers of age and roast.
