Old Tree Wild Tea
老枞野茶
Predominately woody with the cong wei lichen and moss character of old trees. The roast is border line zhu huo and adds a bit of the dried fruit note. Fairly clean character with a nice energy. Longer steeps can bring a bit of a sour note, but the lasting finish is slightly sweet and smooth.
This tea is from the mountains above cunduncun, where our lao cong shui xian is from. The village has some old and wild trees in the forest which are picked together and the leaves sold to interested parties for processing.
