Osmanthus Black Tea

Osmanthus flower black tea (gui hua hong cha) is a Wuyishan black tea with fresh flowers added. The tea is mixed and set in bamboo trays to dry and infuse the flower fragrance into the tea. Last year my aunt made some of this tea at the request of a customer, it was very well received. She produced some more this year - which I think turned out significantly better.
The dry leaf has a strong flower fragrance with what I think of as "roast sweet potato" fragrance. The soup has a mellow black tea fragrance and sweet floral scent with a very natural feeling.
