Old Tree Black Tea
麻粟老枞红茶
Harvest in Masu, on May 22nd in the afternoon to cloudy weather. See picture of harvest conditions - these high mountain gardens live up in the clouds.
The dry leaf has a fresh floral fragrance. This tea can take some heat, we start the session with water fresh off a boil. The soup is clear and has a wild honey fragrance with grass and lichen as expected of old trees. The leaves are rather large. There is a faint hint of smoke and berry in the leaves.
