Mao Xie
毛蟹
The name Mao Xie means Hairy Crab. This cultivar is usually produced as a semi-ball rolled green oolong in Anxi county.
I find this tea to have a significant nuttiness much like Bai Jiguan. The fragrance is quite pronounced on the dry leaves than in the tea. The tea is balanced by a gentle orchid fragrance, and a smooth roast which brings to mind toasted rice tea.
