Ma Tou Yan Rou Gui
Spring 2018 Ma Tou Yan Rou Gui from a high-school classmate. He got a major in tea from Fujian Agricultural and Forestry university and has since established himself as a tea producer with his own factory.
This particular tea was harvested May 4th 2018 at 1 PM to sunny weather. The batch of wet leaves weighted 200 kg and yielded 30 kg of finished tea. During processing the leaves emitted a gentle orchid fragrance. The tea was charcoal roast twice with the first roast on June 7th, 2018. He didn't flip the tea until white crystals became visible on the surface after 2-3 hours. The white crystals are referred to as Bái shuāng (白霜) or hoarfrost.The leaves are quite alive and open up nicely. The tea has a clear rou gui fragrance and can be described as fruity to slightly floral.
